About The Role
The objective of the Senior Software Engineer (Identity APIs) is to work with Delivery leaders and the Engineering cohort to design, develop and implement improvements in our capability in Engineering including people, tools, culture, and way of working. As part of the Identity API team, this role will play an integral part in connecting customers and services across multiple brands and lines of business.
What You’ll Do
- Coach and mentor engineers to improve their engineering capabilities and embed robust practices
- Be the first point of contact for questions from other engineers within the delivery team, bridging communication between the team and Domain technical leaders.
- Analyse system requirements and develop technical designs.
- Develop and maintain application software to meet defined quality assurance standards.
- Enhance and integrate automated testing practices within the team.
- Address and resolve issues with application software.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years software engineering experience with 2+ years of technical leadership.
- Experience with API technologies and practices including SpringBoot RESTful API development.
- Experience with Java, Source control systems, Splunk, and collaboration tools.
- Proven Testing skills and ATDD or Behavioural Driven Development.
- Development frameworks (Spring / Java / Kotlin), Event streaming (Kafka), Cloud (AWS / Azure), Containers (Kubernetes / Openshift), CI/CD (Jenkins / Helm), DevOps.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies.
