RESIDENT EXPERIENCE & ACCESS PROGRAMME

Role Purpose

This role will lead on several projects but will be primarily responsible for leading on the procurement of a new, key IT platform(s). This will include building on and developing further the system specification, developing the relevant procurement documents and related tasks all the way through to evaluation, award and implementation. Other responsibilities will be to project manage key and time critical projects across the council.

Responsibilities

  • Leads on the definition, planning and delivery of complex and the implementation and development of several digital platforms.
  • Manage end to end procurement project(s).
  • Ensure that realistic project, quality, risk plans, and all other relevant project documents are prepared and maintained for projects and sub-projects.
  • Monitor and control project team performance against plans, maintaining effective financial and project progress forecasting, and reporting as appropriate.
  • Define and manage the process for deploying and integrating new capabilities into the business in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with business operations, including planning around key business cycles.
  • Ensure that correct project documentation is maintained and that Lessons Learned are communicated to the rest of the Business.
  • Work with user management, reviewing proposed benefits and risks in the new/redesigned processes, confirming the acceptance criteria for these processes, and ensuring that they are properly documented in the business justification

Requirements

  • Qualification in Agile, Prince2, Lean Six Sigma or other similar qualification.
  • Experience project managing new ways of working that reduce costs and deliver better services for users as well as transforming organisations.

Contract

  • Initial 12 month contract with the opportunity to extend
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (hybrid position mainly home based)
  • Must be available to attend resident workshops occasionally
  • PAYE via Umbrella
  • Rate negotiable depending on experience
