About the job
As the Head of Technology Projects, you are responsible for overseeing the successful planning and delivery of the firm’s portfolio of Technology projects. Leading a team of project managers and business analysts, you are an experienced leader and a skilled communicator with the ability to influence colleagues and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implement the Technology project portfolio framework ensuring alignment to the firm’s business priorities and needs.
- Establish and maintain project management and delivery standards, procedures and reports.
- Provide guidance and advice to the CIO and other stakeholders to balance the portfolio to address competing business priorities, resourcing, scheduling and budget demands.
- Prepare and present accurate and meaningful reports, updates and recommendations.
- Coach, guide and mentor the Technology Projects team to develop targeted and clear plans and to deliver high quality outcomes.
- Raise and escalate issues affecting delivery of the portfolio and make recommendations for adjustments to the program to meet business outcomes and manage risk.
- Provide expertise and assist in reviewing and improving processes across the Technology team and the firm.
- Oversee reporting to the firm’s IT Governance Committee, and coordinate and lead IT Governance Committee meetings.
- Lead the annual Technology portfolio Capex planning process, including recommendations for Capex funding and aligning the Technology portfolio to the firm’s business needs, delivery and change capacity, and investment appetite.
- Member of the Technology Executive Team, contributing to key technology-related strategic, tactical and commercial decisions
